"MECH TECHNIK", the name denotes a group of Renowned Engineering firms in N. E. Region. It consists of two versatile Engineering Firms viz (1) M/s. MECH TECHNIK and (2) M/s. MECH TECHNIK (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd. We are specialised in sophisticated works relating to Hydrocarbon Sectors i.e. Construction/ Laying of Cross- Country OIL and GAS Pipeline, Oil collecting station, Gas compressor station etc. under M/s. Oil India Ltd. M/s. Oil & Natural Gas Commission, M/s. Assam Gas Company Limited, M/s. Numaligarh Refinery Limited, M/s. Nuovo Pignone Spa, M/s. Technip Italy Spa, M/s. Indian Oil Corporation Limited, M/s. Mecon Limited. Our works also include River crossings both submerged along Railway Bridge and Construction of suspension crossings across Rivers. Other specialized job include heavy structural steel works including Irrigational Barrage besides various other jobs. Though we fall under the same banner i.e. "Mech Technik", we have been executing similar jobs individually and received high appreciation from all our clients.

While M/S. Mech Technik was established in November, 1964, as a proprietorial firm, the other i.e. M/S. Mech Technik ( India) Pvt. Ltd. was established subsequently in September, 1984, as a private limited company having duly registered with the Registrar of Companies for Assam, Meghalaya etc. Our group of Engineering Firms are staffed with qualified Engineers, experienced skilled personnel capable of handling all such jobs.

We have adequate number of various equipments and machineries and do not normally require to hire equipments.

We have, however, separate code numbers for the employees Provident Fund and Family Pension Fund as follows :-

Our Head Office is situated at "East Point Tower", 5th Floor, Mani Ram Dewan Road, Bamunimaidan, Guwahati-781021, with a permanent District Office at Duliajan. As per demand of work, site Offices are opened for proper execution. We also have a permanent Factory at Guwahati for fabrication work with all required machineries. Our company operations are spread over to Duliajan, Tinsukia, Digboi, Naharkatia, Namrup, Numaligarh, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Chandrapur, Nagaon and Cachar in Assam. We have aspiration for execution of suitable heavy works in the line anywhere India. 

Social Contributions:

The management is aware of the social needs of the society and contributed for a wide spectrum of activities such as mentally impaired children, adult literacy, help to the village woman folk for acquiring literacy, partial self- employment, destitute children home etc. In the line of education, a "COMMERCE COLLEGE" has been founded and donated in Guwahati to fulfill the long felt need of the students of the N.E. Region, for study in commerce stream. At present about 2000 students are in the roll. For educating the girls in the interior rural area, a "GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL" is also donated. Both the Institutions are serving the community to a great extent in the field of education in our developing society for such contribution in personal capacity as well as in recognition of Engineering works, Er. R. Chaudhury, B.M.E.,F.I.E.,the Managing Director of M/ S. Mech Technik (P) Ltd. was bestowed with several awards at the National Level viz. (a) Rajiv Gandhi Shiromoni Awards, and (b) National Unity Award for Excellence, (c) Pride of India Award, (d) Jewel of India, (e) Er. R. Chaudhury is also enrolled as a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India).

Future Plans:

Besides execution of works mentioned above in the North East Region of India , "Mech Technik" proposes to execute projects in any area in India for similar works which may further broaden the views and over-all performance to keep in touch with the present day scientific advancement.

Other non-professional activities in pipeline: 

In a further bid to expand/diversify its activities, Er. R. Chaudhury has started an agro-horticulture farm in his own plot covering 108 bighas of land at Mirapur 25 Km. south west of Guwahati with nomenclature as 'Brindabati Enterprise' where a number of unemployed youths are deployed as Trainee cum bread earner.

In the same place, he has also ventured to start poultry, Fishery Dairy and Organic Fertiliser which will go a long way to meet the requirements of the locality, besides opening avenues to unemployed and frustrated youth.
